Stricter Laws For Uninsured Drivers

The Government have announced that they will be clamping down on uninsured drivers if they are found to be in possession of one.

It will be made an offence not only if you drive without insurance, but even if you own a vehicle with no insurance, whether it is in use or not (SORN).

Mike Penning, Road Safety Minister said:

"Uninsured drivers push up premiums for other motorists and often drive with no regard for other road users, so it is vital that we do everything we can to keep them off the roads,"

He went onto comment that over 400 uninsured cars are seized by police everyday.

Be careful on the roads this winter as this is the most venerable time of the year where accidents happen due to the severe weather.
