2010 Formula One Season Starts This Weekend

After a long winter, the 61st season of the FIA Grand Prix is finally here. Starting tomorrow at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Current world champion Jenson Button has left Brawn GP and joined McLaren for this season, with 2008 World Champion Lewis Hamilton. Michael Schumacher has come out of retirement and made a comeback after a 3 year absence.

The FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) have changed a few rules for the 2010 season, like banning fuel stops - so each team can only use one tank of fuel for each race, this has changed the overall look of the car - this was originally set to save money for teams. KERS has been scrapped this year to cut costs, although this has not been banned, no teams have confirmed that they will be using this. The wheel covers that help channel air to the brakes have been banned for this season. The points system has also been reviewed for the 2010 GP season - this is as follows: -

Position Points
1 25
2 18
3 15
4 12
5 10
6 8
7 6
8 4
9 2
