BMW Recall 350,00 Cars

The BMW Group have put out a recall on around 26,000 BMW models in the UK as well as around 1,200 Rolls-Royce fearing braking problems.


BMW have announced that the models affected are the BMW 5, 6 and 7 series cars, powered by either a V8 or a V12 engine and also the Alpina B7 model.


Models from 2002 - 2010 will be written to and an appointment booked with their local dealership for rectification.


The problem is that a leak could develop within the power braking system leading to loss of pressure when you use the brakes. BMW say that mechanical braking will still slow and stop the car.


The recall is apart of a global recall which includes over 200,000 BMWs in North America alone.


A BMW spokesman said:


''We are writing to all the owners involved asking them to arrange a service appointment.” he added


''There have not been any accidents or injuries.''
