Convertible Cars Still Keeping Value

Convertible Cars Still Keeping Value

A recent report from Glass’s Guide has shown that even through the tough winter months, convertibles are still high in demand.

The report shows that over three years a new car’s residual value will be higher than a normal hatchback, some keeping up to 42% of their value.

In the used car market, in January 2010 the value of a average open top car in the auction was £12,650, where in April the price had already increased to an average of £15,525, an increase of over 20% in three months.

Adrian Rushmore, managing editor at Glass's said:

"From March we would expect to see the higher trade prices being reflected in higher forecourt prices as dealers attempt to protect, or increase, their trading margins,"
