Driving With The Roof Down Could Cause Deafness?

Driving with the roof down on a sunny day in your convertible car with the wind flowing by, could it get any better?

A recent study by a well known science correspondence has this week published a report to say that cruising at only 50mph in your convertible car could permanently damage your hearing.

Studies show that long exposure to noise levels above 85 decibels would cause permanent hearing loss and with 'topless' drivers being exposed to noise levels around 90db, even 100db around busy city centres.

Recommendations show that wearing ear plugs and keeping the windows up in your convertible car could lessen the chance of you losing your hearing.
