Volkswagen Golf - 2010 Lease Car Of The Year
Volkswagen, BMW and Vauxhall were amongst winners that were awarded at the Fleet News award ceremony that took place on 17th March in London.
The Volkswagen Golf was awarded best company car 2010 and also took the title of best lower medium car. The judges said about the Golf:
“It has strong residual values and a wide choice of efficient engines that lead to low operating costs.” they added
“Drives see it as a aspirational car in its sector.”
Vauxhall were voted as Fleet Manufacturer of the year as editor of Fleet News Stephen Briers commented on strong dealer network, a strong model line up for leasing as well as economical engines with the ecoFLEX green range.
BMW won the award for ‘Green Manufacturer’ of the year. Judges were happy with its strutures and procedures to manufacturer a ‘green’ car. They commented on not only do they just make a car ‘green’ with a efficient engine, it goes further up the line than that from the logistics side and also manufacturing of the car itself.
Skoda picked up its first ever award for Most Improved Manufacturer for the Skoda Superb. It also collected the award for best upper-medium car. Judges said about the Skoda:
“Skoda has gone from strength to strength in 2009 and its flagship Superb typifies the carmaker’s success.”
