BMW Mini Countryman - Prices And Specifications
BMW today released details of the new Mini Countryman in an official press release.
Following from our article on the 20th January 2010 we can now confirm the prices and specifications of the new car due to be released officially at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
Due to be launched in September this year, this is the first Mini to offer four-wheel-drive in Mini’s 51 year history. These will be called the ‘ALL4’ models, available at launch on the Cooper D and the Cooper S only with a Cooper ALL4 version released in 2012.
At the launch in September, five engines will be available, three petrol models and two diesel units in its new model line up. The petrol engines are the new 1.6litre engines that are due for release in cars due in March 2010, the diesel units are the same engines currently powering the Mini Hatch/Clubman/Convertible.

“The extra space and ALL4 MINI break new ground in the brand’s 51 year heritage. With Countryman prices starting at £16,000 and a very high standard specification, we are introducing more MINI piquancy into the crossover market this year.”
The Model line up is similar to the current one, with the Mini One Countryman coming with a 98bhp engine costing £16,000. The Cooper will cost £17,510 and will come with a 122bhp engine. The Mini Cooper S will follow this with a 184bhp power unit costing £20,810. The diesel engines will be £17,000 for the Mini One D and £18,810 for the Mini Cooper D.
The ALL4 option will cost an extra £1,065 for the diesel engine and £1,220 for the Cooper S.
Standard specification will include, Roof rails, Thatcham Category 1 alarm, Air conditioning, Heated door mirrors and washer jets, Rear park distance control, MINI Central Rail system, Multi-function rear seats – the five seat fitment being standard in the UK - although a optional 2+2 style of seating will be available at no extra cost. Dynamic Stability Control, Electric power steering with Servotronic speed-related assistance, Six airbags, ISOFIX child safety seat mountings, Tyre puncture warning system, Standard Central Bass Hi-Fi system with six speakers, DAB digital radio with Radio Boost, Bluetooth telephone preparation, USB connection, Passenger Airbag deactivation.
The Mini Countryman will be equipped with 16” alloy wheels on the One and Cooper model, 17” wheels on the Coopers and optional 18” and 19” available.
The new Mini Countryman will be in your local BMW Mini dealership in September.
