Mercedes C Class BlueEFFICIENCY Range
Mercedes Benz have today launched the BlueEFFICIENCY range to the Mercedes C class range with better fuel consumption and emissions.
Introducing two new diesel engines, a C220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY replaces the C220 CDI, whilst a brand new C250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY is a new addition to the C-Class range. Both of these engines are 2.1 four-cylinder engines that only emit 127g/km of carbons on the C220 and 134g/km on the C250. A new petrol model has also been released, the C180 KOMPRESSOR BlueEFFICIENCY. This model will replace the current C180 model. The new model boasting a reduced emissions figure of 166g/km and a combined fuel cycle figure of 39.8mpg.

The current range C200 KOMPRESSOR, C230 and C280 have been discontinued and replaced by a new model, the C250 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY, which uses a turbo charger and direct injection. Producing 204bhp and emitting 168g/km which is a massive 49g/km less than the C230 yet fuel consumption has increased by 26%.
With the new models, all manual transmission models will now come with Hill Start Assist as standard, which lets the driver move from the brake pedal to the throttle without the car rolling backwards.
Two new colours are also available, Indigolite Blue and Pearl Beige. New optional equipment have also been released, a reversing camera and a new media interface combined with the COMAND and Audio 50 means you can connect your iPods or other MP3 players and come with a CD/DVD changer as standard.
