The dCi 110 DPF comes with the 6-speed automatic gearbox EDC - efficient dual clutch, which is Renaults take on the infamous DSG gearbox like in Volkswagens. Using a twin clutch system the engaged gear uses one clutch, as the other clutch already has the next gear ready - this produces seamless gear changes, which in turn, gives the driver better fuel economy.
