Porsche New Environmental Paint Job Technology
Porsche’s new car factory in Stuggart is starting work on one of the most environmental paint shops in the world. It is leading the path and anticipates a completion early in 2010.
The factory will be commissioned in 2011. The paint shop will run on two operations turning out approximately 170 vehicles daily from the new 911 and the new Boxster.
The factory will incorporate technology never been used in the motor industry and will sure be setting the trend with helping the environment. The painting process will have dust protection as it is 100 percent enclosed. This methodology will increase paint coat quality on all the new cars but will also reduce the need for conditioned hall air.
The emission of solvents and particles will be reduced to a bare minimum with the novel electrostatic precipitator for paint dusts. The 60 meter high chimney will not be required in this new car painting process. An exhaust purifier will be used and this only requires a smaller 10 meter high chimney.
Wolfgang Leimgruber, head of Porsche's production and logistics, said: "With the new paint shop, Porsche is ensuring that it will deliver unsurpassed quality in Zuffenhausen - while also conserving resources in an exceptionally ecological and economical manner."
This will make Porsche’s new car factory, the first in the world to use this advanced technology.
