Renault has released details of the new car, Megane Renaultsport 250 and the 250 cup.
Starting from £21,995 for the 250 Cup and £22,995 for the 250. Specification wise, the 250 comes with different alloy wheels, tyre pressure monitor, hands free key card, tinted windows from the B pillar, dual zone climate control, heated and electric driver’s seat and automatic headlights.
Whilst in the 250 Cup version you have Renault’s track tested suspension pack, which includes a limited slip differential, stiffer springs and dampers, uprated anti roll bars, bigger 235/40 Michelin Sport tyres, grooved Brembo brakes and different alloy wheels.
The new car is powered by a 2.0 turbocharged engine producing 250bhp and 340nm of torque with full power at just 3000rpm.
The new car has a new Renaultsport Monitor inside the cabin. This is a monitor that tells the driver of what the car is doing, including real-time engine monitor, gear change warning, 0-60 timing, lap times and real time calibration of the throttle pedal.
The new car is due for release in November 2009 for delivery in January 2010.
