Toyota Confirm Affected Cars In The UK

Toyota have confirmed the amount of used cars that have been affected by the pedal recall that we reported yesterday.


Toyota have been communicating with the DVLA and found a total of 180,865 new and used cars have been affected by the accelerator pedal sticking problem.


Toyota will be working closely with the DVLA and contacting owners as soon as possible to arrange the quick 30-min repair to eliminate the problem.


Toyota have also confirmed in the latest press release, that no manual Toyota Aygo models have been affected and all versions of the Toyota RAV4 have not been affected either.


Repairs will start on the first batch of recalled cars from 10th February 2010 when a shipment of the strengthening parts arrives in the UK.
