Toyota Launch New Swappage Scheme

As the Scrappage Scheme in the UK comes to a close for used cars, Toyota UK have launched their new scheme called the ‘Swappage’ scheme.


Toyota are inviting customers with used cars between 7-10 years old (W, X, Y, 51, 02 reg). If you own one of these cars then you are eligible for a £2000 saving if you trade your used car in for a new Toyota Yaris, Auris, Verso or Avensis.


The Toyota Yaris is on sale from £9,223, for the Yaris TR1.0 VVT-I engine, this model is the smallest of the group, but comes with a high specification, Toyota Optimal Drive, start stop technology, Euro NCAP 5-star safety awarded and to top it off - £35 a year road tax.


The Auris is a compact family car with Toyota Optimal Drive, air conditioning, 6-speaker mp3/cd player, nine airbags in the Toyota Auris means that it was awarded 5 stars in the Euro NCAP safety award. The Toyota Auris TR 1.33 VVT-I 3-door starts at £13,132.


Next is the Toyota Verso, which is a 5 door medium sized family car but with lots of room making it most versatile of the group. The Toyota Verso T2 1.6 V-matic is available for £14,722 and comes with Toyota Optimal Drive, stability control, air conditioning and 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating.


Finally the Toyota Avensis TR 1.6 V-matic is the final model available for the Swappage scheme. This is the largest car in the scheme available in a 4 door saloon or a estate version, it comes fully specified with usual gadgets, 6-speaker mp3/cd player, Bluetooth connectivity, auto headlights and 9 airbags including a ’knee bag’. The Toyota Avensis TR 1.6 V-matic is available for £15,632.


The used car ‘Swappage’ scheme is available up until the 31st of March 2010.
