Toyota Recall - Third Generation Prius
Toyota UK have had to release another safety recall for their car, the third generation Prius - these are cars built after the 1st of August 2009 and before the 27th January 2010.
A week after announcing that 1.8million cars worldwide and more than 180,000 in the UK were affected by the throttle pedal recall, Toyota have confirmed that the new third generation Toyota Prius needs urgent work to the braking system.
The problem is described as a “Inconsistent brake feel during slow and steady braking on bumpy or slick road surfaces” 8500 UK cars have been affected by this and Toyota UK will recall all these models for essential works to the anti-lock braking system.

Toyota say that there is no need to worry as the brakes will still work as normal.
Toyota will be again working alongside the DVLA and will write to every owner of a third generation Prius.
