Used Car Scrappage Scheme Has Lowered C02 Emissions

A recent report shows that the current used car scrappage scheme has helped lower the emissions in the UK.

The scrappage scheme, which sees used car owners trading in their used cars for a new car, has proved that scrapping their old used car with higher emissions for a new car with lower ones have helped the UK to go ‘Green’.

This has had such a positive effect the government has decided to extend the current scrappage scheme to March 2010.
